Dr Emma Jordan
Integrated Masters degree in Osteopathy (M.Ost.) Post Graduate studies: Osteopathie Bio-Tissulaire Level 1
Emma has recently moved to Melbourne after previously working in Perth and is originally from the UK. She was born in England, moved to France at age 10, then later returned to the U.K. to study at the European School of Osteopathy. After graduating, her desire to continue travelling and exploring brought her to Australia.
Emma considers every person unique. She is committed to provide a high standard of individualised care to her patients and works in partnership with them on their journey towards improved health. She strongly believes that health is not only the absence of physical pain or disease, but results from a state of well being at all physical, mental, emotional, social and environmental levels. She therefore takes into consideration all of these factors at each consultation. Emma strives to empower her patients to take control of their own wellbeing and believes that explaining her findings, the aim of treatment and her management plan are key in that process.
During her studies and clinical experience, Emma has developed higher level diagnostic palpation skills in her sense of touch and treatment techniques. The experience of these sensations and feeling a strong connection with the Osteopathic philosophy fuelled her desire to understand, explore and learn more with continued professional development in Children’s Health and Cranial Osteopathy.
Given the opportunity to train for two years in the Maternity and Children’s teaching clinic of the European School of Osteopathy, Emma developed a particular interest in the care of pre and post-partum women and assisting babies and children with their development. In addition, through her own practice of yoga and meditation, Emma has come to appreciate their huge health benefits and enjoys incorporating these philosophies into her treatments and patient management programs.
